1. About This Platform

Family Office Strategist ("FOS") is a non-commercial, informational platform operated at www.fostrategist.com by a private individual ("the Operator"). FOS is not a registered legal entity, company, or institution of any kind. The Operator is the sole data controller under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR"). 2. Voluntary Submission and Participant Acknowledgement

All participation on this platform is entirely voluntary and self-initiated. No individual is required to submit personal data to access published content. By choosing to submit data through any form on this platform, the submitting party acknowledges and accepts that: they are 16 years of age or older; data is submitted entirely on their own initiative and at their own risk; FOS is a non-commercial platform operated by a private individual with no institutional backing; participation in any FOS activity is voluntary and at the participant's own risk; and the submitting party agrees to indemnify the Operator against any claims arising from inaccuracy, unlawfulness, or misrepresentation in data submitted.

 

Data submission is only accepted following completion of an active consent checkbox on each form confirming that the submitting party has read and understood this Policy in full.

A timestamped record of each consent is retained as legal evidence.

3. Data Collected and Legal Basis

We collect data you voluntarily submit (name, email, professional title, organisation, LinkedIn URL, areas of interest) and data generated automatically (IP address, browser type, pages visited, cookies). All processing of submitted data is based exclusively on freely given, informed, and unambiguous consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), evidenced by the consent checkbox completed at the point of submission. Website analytics are processed on the basis of legitimate interest. We do not collect special category data (GDPR Art. 9).
 

4. User Warranties and Indemnification

By submitting data, you warrant that the data is accurate, lawfully submitted, and does not infringe any third-party rights. You agree to fully indemnify and hold harmless the Operator from any and all claims, losses, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from inaccuracy or misrepresentation in data you submit, breach of these warranties, or any third-party claims connected to your submission.

5. What We Do Not Do

​

We do not sell, rent, or transfer your data for commercial purposes; use your data for advertising or third-party profiling; or engage in automated decision-making with legal or significant effect. Data is shared only with the service providers listed in Section 6.

6. Service Providers and International Transfers

​

Data is processed by Wix.com Ltd. (hosting and platform infrastructure), an email delivery provider, and an analytics provider — all acting as data processors under the Operator's instruction and bound by appropriate Data Processing Agreements. Wix is incorporated in Israel, which holds an EU adequacy decision. Where any processor operates outside the EEA, EU Standard Contractual Clauses (GDPR Art. 46) apply. The Operator bears no responsibility for the independent practices of third-party platforms users navigate to independently.
 

7. Retention

 - Community and membership data: Duration of membership + 12 months

 - Form submissions and correspondence: 24 months

 - Consent and declaration records: 5 years (legal evidence)

 - Analytics Anonymised and aggregated: indefinite

​​​​​Deletion requests are honoured promptly. Consent records may be retained beyond deletion requests to the extent necessary to defend legal claims.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of your data, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing. Contact contact@fostrategist.com; we respond within one calendar month. You may also lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

9. Cookies

Essential cookies operate without consent as required for site functionality. Analytics cookies are placed only following active consent via the cookie banner on first visit and may be withdrawn through browser settings at any time.

10. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

All platform content is provided strictly for informational and educational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, investment, or professional advice of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator — a private individual operating a non-commercial platform — expressly excludes all liability for any loss or damage arising from use of or reliance on platform content; decisions made based on platform content or activities; content contributed by third parties or community members; and technical failures or unauthorised access outside the Operator's reasonable control. Participation in all FOS activities is voluntary, self-initiated, and entirely at the participant's own risk. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, it is limited to the minimum extent required.

11. Updates and Contact

This policy may be updated at any time; the effective date above reflects the latest revision. Where updates affect consent-based processing, fresh consent will be sought before any new processing begins.
